Story
Lewis (a Send, Woking, Surrey Scout and Young Leader at Beavers) has been fortunate to get a place to attend the 25 World Scout Jamboree in South Korea next year.
World Scout Jamborees happen ever 4 years and Lewis is one of 3,240 young people that have been chosen from the UK to join 50,000 young people taking part from all over the World.
The World Scout Jamboree offers young people the chance to learn new skills that they can use in other aspects of their life as well as campaign for change on key world issues that matter to them.
Between now and July 2023 Lewis will attend training camps and team building events preparing him for living on the hot and humid site in SaeManGeum.
The fees to attend the jamboree are £3695 so over the next 18 months Lewis will be running lots of fundraising events!
He will share his experiences and new skills as he goes and if you’d like to follow his preparation and training he has an Instagram account for the jamboree @lewis25wsj. Also have a look at Surrey Unit 72 - 25WSJ Korea his unit for the jamboree.
