We train amazing hearing dogs to transform the lives of deaf people

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Having a hearing dog has changed my life. I can't imagine it without Rufus now. Before having a hearing dog, I was becoming very introverted and feeling excluded from so many activities. A hearing dog gives you confidence and as complete strangers want to talk to you about the dog, it helps you interact with everyone, he is a great ice breaker. He also makes me feel safe & relaxed, knowing that he will alert me to sounds I don't hear, such as the door bell, telephone and most importantly the smoke detector.

I hope that by raising money with this challenge, it will go someway to helping other deaf or hard of hearing people have the benefit I have received from my hearing dog. I also hope this will go some way to helping me with my fear of heights!
