I ran the Great North Run Half Marathon in 2 hours 46 minutes for my chosen charity: Age UK. My mother was diagnosed with dementia in 2001 and Age UK provided me with invaluable support and advice so that I was able to meet and respond to her changing needs. It is now a year since my mother died and I am saying “thank you” to Age UK by raising funds so that they can continue to provide information, advice and support to older people and their families.  Huge thanks to everyone who has supported me and encouraged me along the way!
