Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am putting myself through this personal hell to raise money for a great cause. Roughly 690,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with the disabling and progressive autoimmune disease, rheumatoid arthritis.

This hugely misunderstood disease impacts on the lives of around 3.7 million people (through actually having the disease or having friends or family with it) and often leaves those diagnosed with extreme pain and fatigue, meaning they unable to enjoy the things in life most of us take for granted e.g. being able to work, easily travel and even cut up food and get dressed.

I want to raise money for the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) because they are the only patient chairty who are solely dedicated to the disease and I have seen first-hand how truly dedicated they are to the cause.

If nothing else, it is worth donating because it's always funny to see an out of shape (I'm being kind to myself) bloke attempt to run long distances. So please dig deep and donate anything you can.

(Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.)

Your support is hugely appreciated.

Thanks,

Leo
