89 days to go till Outlaw. Mum has been moved to Ripon Hospital and is very happy to be there.
My family's world was turned upside down on 27 Dec 2011 when Mum had a stroke. The stroke has left Mum unable to swallow or walk therefore she is still in hospital. Mum has supported my running even if at times she has thought me a little mad. Last year I said I fancied doing Outlaw, her reply was "You cant do that. Its too much".
She should have known better, In September I entered Outlaw, an ironman distance triathlon, comprising of 2.4 mile swim in open water, 112 mile bike ride and a 26.2 run (marathon) and it all has to be completed inside 17 hours. This really is the biggest challenge of my life.

Why not folloe my training blog to keep track of my progress and what my training entails here http://lenaconlin.blogspot.co.uk/
I have chosen the Stroke Assosiation because they help stroke victims and their families as well as funding research.
