Story
30 years ago my dad sadly died of cancer My mother, a senior Nursing Officer at the time, took time off work to care for my dad at home Effectively offering palliative care so dad could be at home for his final days.
My mother, recognising the lack of support for terminally ill people, quit her role within NHS and set up the Hospice from one small office alongside Dr Richard Lamberton.
The Hospice has grown and gone from strength to strength But is still heavily funded by donations. So Ioan Lane and I came up with the idea of Boxing for 12 hours on a bag to raise money. A brutal challenge but a fantastic cause
