Story
This is my story about my Mum. My Mum Leila Cronin she is my best friend, my world & my absolute rock. In 2018 she suffered her 1st stroke & my world was rocked & my heart was broken. My Mum lost the use of every limb in her body & all she could do was blink her eyes but the most devastating things was that she had lost her memory. My best friend did not know who I was. My mums spent weeks on the stoke ward at Luton & Dunstable Hospital then she was transferred to The Marbrook Rehabilitation Centre at St Neots for 6 weeks where she received the most amazing 1.1 24hour care by their fantastic Neurological Care Staff. Mum was taught to walk & talk again & she regained her memory, my best friend knew who I was! Over the last 3 years Mum has suffered 3 more strokes & each of them affecting different parts of her brain. My Mum is the most amazing & strongest woman that I know & next year we will be celebrating her 90th Birthday. I cannot wait to run this marathon of 26.2 Miles & put my medal around her neck to Thank her for an amazing child hood & to let her know that I run have this for her.
