I an a novice rower attempting at a relatively ripe age to cover 80 miles down the Thames in two days on 19th and 20th September 2015.  I started training in July with a group of parents, also mostly novices, from the Lady Eleanor Hollers and Hampton Schools, to great ridicule form our much more experienced children (also taking part in other boats).  Nonetheless though the support of our coaches and coxes we now feel ready to take a an eight (that is an eight-person crew racing boat as you see in the Oxford/Cambridge boat ace annually) the full distance.  It is nevertheless a major challenge; 80 miles will be nearly twice the distance I have notched up in training over the summer, and the crew is only as strong as the weakest member.

We aim to raise at least £30,000, which will cover the cost of one care nurse for a year, please help us do that?
