Memory Walk 2023
Campaign by Alzheimer's Society (RCN 296645)
Who will you walk for? This year thousands of people will walk for everyone affected by dementia. By taking part in Memory Walk, you will be helping to support everyone living with dementia now and in the future.

Story

On Saturday 28 September, a team of Shackletons colleagues from across the business will be taking part in the Leeds Memory Walk, along with their friends and family to raise vital funds and awareness for the Alzheimer's Society.

Dementia is the UKs biggest killer. Someone develops it every three minutes and currently there is no cure. There are currently around 900,000 people in the UK living with dementia and this is expected to rise to 1.6 million people by 2040. It is estimated that 70% of residents in UK care homes have dementia or severe memory problems.

Shackletons are proud to support the Alzheimer's Society to raise vital funds and awareness for a cause that impacts so many lives in our sector. All donations will go directly to the Alzheimer's Society to support their research, and to help those living with or supporting someone with dementia in the UK.

Thank you for your support.
