Story
I am running in memory of Rhodri Jones who made a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Rhodri and I both battled cancer at the same time but unfortunately the prognosis for primary bone cancer is not good and nothing has changed in the last 30 years. As a rarer cancer affecting mostly children and young adults, it doesn't receive the same level of funding as other cancers and this is why it is so important to raise money for research to help improve the outcomes for the young people suffering with this devastating disease. Every 10 minutes a child or teenager is diagnosed with primary bone cancer.
This is my marathon schedule:- January - Fan Dance 24km February - Brecon-Cardiff 70km March - Born to Run 80 miles April - Pembrokeshire - 35 miles April - St. Illtyds Ultra100km May - Liverpool 21km July - Swansea Beach 5km August - Gower Triathlon 50 km August - Ultra Gt Britain 200 miles September - Thames Path 100km
Any donation you give will be gratefully received and used to fund valuable research into Osteosarcoma (primary bone cancer). Every penny donated will be used for research. Check out Rhodri's page on https://www.bcrt.org.uk/support/patient-stories/rhodri-jones
