Story

Thank you for taking your time to visit my "Just giving" page.

I've created this page as so many kind and generous people have asked if I was climbing Kilimanjaro for charity and would like to donate to the cause.

I didn't set out with the idea of raising money for charity. Climbing Kilimanjaro has been a lifelong ambition and I've been lucky that circumstances have allowed me to take this opportunity (hopefully this old body of mine is still up to the task).

I've been fortunate enough to be able to fund this trip completely on my own and as such this would mean that if you did find it in you to donate to my charity, every penny would go directly to the cause and not to assist in paying for the trip.

The charity I've chosen to support is Diamond Blackfan Anaemia which some of you will know as you have helped fill my begging bowl for them previously when I have participated in the C2C cycle ride and the various "Great Run" events.

Diamond Blackfan Anaemia is only a small charity and could be easily lost amongst so many larger and high profile campaigns. This makes your support even more greatly appreciated and even the smallest donation can make a big difference.

Please feel free to give as little or as much as you wish. You can even pass this link on to your friends if they also want to donate, I don't mind, honestly it wont upset me.

I'd like to think that my training has gone very well and I hope to be successful. I'll keep you all updated with my progress and once again I thank you all for your time and your kindness.

Kind regards,

Lee Hetherington.
