Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Tuesday 13th April 2010, I will be representing Harlow Rugby Club whilst playing for the Cystic Fibrosis Invitational XV against The Commons and Lords RFC at Twickenham. The game is very much a friendly and “golden oldies” rules will apply. Players must be at least 30 years of age and I now comfortably fit into this area. Rob Andrew, former England Fly Half and now the Rugby Football Union’s Elite Rugby Director will wear the No.10 jersey for the Commons & Lords RUFC team along with former Wasps and Harlequins Paul Volley who will play at Openside. The game is to raise awareness and funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. About the Cystic Fibrosis Trust Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is the UK’s most common life-threatening inherited disease. CF clogs the internal organs with thick sticky mucus, making it difficult to breathe and digest food. This thick mucus production causes lung infections and lung damage. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is supporting groundbreaking medical research to stop CF at its root cause; the faulty gene. If successful, gene therapy will stop the development of the lung damage that claims 90% of young lives. We are now at an exciting but critical time in our gene therapy programme and desperately need funds to ensure progress can continue. So please dig deep and give generously for a very worthy cause. Many Thanks Lee
