Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This challenge is a personal goal of mine, and whilst one I've started before, the discipline to remain on track hasn't quite been where it needs to be, and so this time wanted to drive myself with the added incentive of raising some much needed funds for this great charity. After the last 15 months too in losing 3 of our beloved pets it's something very close to our hearts with the work they do in helping small animals in difficulty.
The challenge will begin on 31st January and take us through to 31st July. Full readings etc will be captured and a progress update provided at the end of each month. The key of course to what I'm doing is to get myself too back to feeling fitter and healthier which is immensely important.
Sacrifices to achieve this will be huge for me, certainly those of you who know me properly. They will include:
• Cycle runs x 2 each week (min 7 miles each)
• Walks x 2 each week (min 5km each)
• Limited sweets & sugar intake
• No takeaway (this shoukd be the ok bit)
• 2 coffees a day max
• Alcohol - abstain apart from 4 units on a sat evening
If I come in under the goal challenge I'll too donate a further £10 per lb.
