I want to raise money for Fife SANDS as they supported me and Stuart after the stillbirth of our Daughter Angel in 2013.
I could never have begun to even think about making funeral arrangement, picking a tiny little coffin or keeping little physical reminders of Angel. How could I do this after being in labour for 4 days knowing that my baby would be stillborn in a ward where babies were entering the world with cries all around me. How could we have been expected to deal with this?
Well we didn’t, that’s where SANDS stepped in. They took away all financial burdens of a funeral and helped to organise everything. They gave financial and emotional support and also provided a beautiful pink memory box filled with little keepsakes. We will cherish this forever.
SANDS are a charity and rely on donations to be able to support grieving families. I want to do my bit in giving something back to them.
I have always said that Physical pain is nothing in comparison to the emotional pain that I went through and still continue to deal with every day of my life.
Myself and my best friend Claire are going to walk the distance of a marathon – 26 miles! We will walk around Loch Leven twice to raise money for Fife SANDS to help them to continue to support grieving families. This will take place on Saturday 28th May
