Story
Our Summer Holiday Activities bring children, young people and families together to have fun, make new friends and try out new activities. We offer an environment where everyone feels safe, welcomed and accepted. Our activities make space for friendly challenges and games, arts, crafts and we like to take time to celebrate our successes together.
This summer we have lots of fun activities planned such as: Arts Days, Beach Trips, Pizza Making, Forest Skills, Den-making and Pond-dipping. All of which have been brought together by our Youth Voice members. However, in order to keep our activities going, we do rely on fundraising money- this is where our wonderful Youth Voice has come up with lots of great ideas.
"Youth Voice is a group of young people who have benefitted from Learning Space. As a youth council, we run activities in the holidays to help people socialise and gain the skills they need later in life, building confidence and making friends with people which could be hard for them in a different environment. The result of these opportunities has helped young people overcome many challenges."
In the past, Youth Voice has led cake sales and sponsored walks to fundraise for activities including seaside trips, go-karting, art days, family events and more. To fundraise for this year's activities, Youth Voice would like to invite you to create your own goals!
If you or your child have any goals you'd like to work on and share with friends and family, you might want to include our Just Giving page. The funding for this shall go towards our Summer Activities. Our youth voice came up with this idea at one of our recent meetings. Examples of goals we discussed were - walking more, a 'no phone' challenge, less caffeine or more fresh air.
We are really looking forward to a summer of fun!
