Story
On the 11th of September, I will be taking part in the 25km London Bridges Trek in memory of my Grandma, Phyllis, who we sadly lost to Alzheimer's and my Grandpa, Bob, who lovingly cared for her. I am also walking for my Nana, Dor, who is currently living with Dementia along with her twin Sister, my Auntie Babs, and my Mum, Sue, who has selflessly left her life in America to come help care for her. Anyone who has loved or lived with a relative or friend with Dementia knows the heartbreak it causes and the emotional strain it can put on those caring for them.
Dementia UK provides life changing support for families affected by all forms of dementia through the help of Admiral Nurses. Admiral Nurses help people living with dementia stay independent for
longer – and support the people caring for them so that they will have
the strength to cope with the bad days, and the energy to enjoy the good days.
Even the smallest donation will go a long way in helping families get the help and support they need in those difficult times. Thank you so much in advance.
