Leanne & Paula's Yorkhill Children's Charity Skydive March 2014 Motivated By Baby Dylan

Fundraising for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity
At the end of March this year me and Paula will be doing a tandem skydive jump from at least 10,000 feet, free-falling down to 5,000 feet, falling through the air at 120mph ... Sounds a bit mental but it's all in aid of Yorkhill Children's Charity !!
My 5 month baby boy Dylan was recently admitted to Yorkhill Hospital Intensive Care Unit and Children's Ward due to difficulty with his breathing. What we initially thought was a common cold starting quickly spiralled into an emergency situation where he was struggling for every breath.
Dylan was sedated for 3 days and put onto a ventilator as his airways were so swollen he couldn't breath for himself. This was a very difficult, stressful and upsetting time for me, my partner and family. Luckily our little boy is a fighter and made a quick recovery and is now settled back at home and slowly but surely getting back to his happy, hyper, cheeky self.
This is a very deserving and worthwhile charity. We were fortunate enough that our stay was fairly short but seeing some of the babies and young children during my stay there with Dylan opened my eyes to how much you take for granted and that you never know what is round the corner. All the staff were amazing and helped what was a difficult time more bearable.
We are doing this skydive as we want to give something back for the help we received it was greatly appreciated. Every £1 counts so no donation is too little.
