I am turning SIXTEEN this month and in honor of my birthday, I am relaunching my InvisiYouth Charity Fundraiser for this amazing organization. 

Many of you know that I have been dealing with multiple chronic illnesses for the last five years. I originally started a fundraiser from my hospital room as a way to say that no matter what struggles I am going through, there is always a positive way to handle them. I know that I can help others, even while I’m hooked up to IV poles. I am home but I do go back and forth to the hospital, and I now have a broviac (tunneled central catheter into my heart), I am on TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition), and I have. GJ Tube. InvisiYouth Charity helps me to stay positive and connected as I continue to pursue my dreams. 

INVISIYOUTH CHARITY is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that helps teens and young adults around the world with various chronic illnesses and disabilities gain the right lifestyle tools, programs, empowerment and fun events to learn how to keep living life with health struggles. With InvisiYouth, older youth and their support systems can become empowered older youth in all the non-medical aspects of their lives with any illness, visible or invisible. 

I met Dominique, the InvisiYouth founder, when I was not quite 11 years old, and the charity was in its first year. We connected and I have admired what she has done to help so many people since that day. This year, I was asked to become a Global Brand Leader Ambassador (I’m one of the youngest) and I am absolutely honored to become more involved.   InvisiYouth supports people like ME, so it makes me want to make sure to help others navigating our care in the the medical system. 

This latest round of illnesses, treatments, and diagnoses, have certainly taken a toll on me and on my family and while I truly appreciate all of the support and gifts, it would mean so much to me if you would consider donating to this wonderful charity in my honor. It’s my way of taking what some see as lemons and making lemonade!
