Hey, my name is Leah Skelton and on June 24 2013, I shall be travelling to Nairobi to share myself and my beautiful dance community in the UK that has supported me, in a way that’s the closest to my heart, through dancing. In Nairobi, myself and 20 others will participate in dance workshops spreading awareness through dance, building a bridge between ourselves and our global friends. Whilst there, we will trek up to the peak of Kilimanjaro in Aid of Giving Africa. All money raised and donated will go to the charity that focuses on providing sustainable education through building schools in West Africa. “He who learns will teach” The school we shall be aiding is in Gourcy, Burkina Faso. Education is the key to lift this nation out of poverty, for every one child educated another 12 can be lifted out of poverty. Also whilst there with “Movement for hope” a charity who uses multimedia art to raise awareness and support for neurological conditions we will be providing our support and supplies to local hospitals. This is the very beginning of my personal Just Giving page and anything you can donate will truly make a difference to these people lives. I will regularly update my page with fundraising events and videos about our journey in joining hands to start making a difference.
