Story
Hey, it's Leah here!
On the 23rd April 2017 I will be running the London Marathon for charity. I am running for the MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Society which is a meaningful charity for my family and myself. Thank you for visiting my fundraising page and supporting me!
I am very excited about doing this but also very scared. I am fully aware, that having only just gained my place, many others are ahead of me in their training. However, what an opportunity I have been given.
As many of you will be aware, two members of my family have experienced the difficulties of MS. My uncle, David Pearson, suffered from MS and sadly passed away in 2012. After seeing the effects of this on his life and those around him, I feel proud to run in memory of him. My sister Hannah was also diagnosed with MS in 2005. Over the years as a family we have seen huge improvements and developments in the support she has been given medically. So even if I find 26 miles a daunting prospect, this is a cause that will make the effort worth while.
I will keep you updated on my training progress and I really thank you for your support.
Thank you very much! Lots of love, Leah xxx
