Story
Our darling Leah was suddenly taken from us all on 22/09/22, leaving behind a vast hole in so many lives. Leah was always so happy, strong, kind and loving to all of those that knew her and met her. Leah always enjoyed life to the full in every way that she could and did not let the stroke that she had in 2012 and the discovery that she had Vascular EDS stop her in any way. Leah would walk and use a tread mill every day to keep the strength in her legs from weakening and still taught poll dancing, Ariel silks and hoop lessons as well as working and socialising. Always on the go, smiling and laughing as she went
Leah loved to sing and dance throughout her life and was a qualified pole, aerial silk, hoops, tap, street, ballet, cheer and Break dancing instructor and loved teaching Children, watching their progression and growing passion for these activities.
Leah studied hard and long to achieve her life ambition to become a CSI and achieved this in 2016 when she proudly became part of the Kent Police CSI team. Leah loved the job she done and always felt proud whenever she or her colleagues found evidence that could help lead to a conviction or help solve a crime. Leah was Loved and respected by all of her work colleagues, Leah was still working as a CSI up until the day she was taken from us.
EDS became a large part of Leah's life after she discovered that she was suffering from it and my wife Chris ran the virtual London Marathon in support of EDS on behalf of Leah in 2020, with Leah and bestie Viv running the last 10 miles beside her.
So please, any amount donated to the EDS support UK Charity will help support the charity, who's advise, support and information helps to improve the quality of life for those living with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. This would make that loving smile on Leah's face even bigger.
Thank you all for your love to Leah and for your kind Donations.
