We support parents, siblings & grandparents to help them following the loss of a child.
Story
I'm walking 96miles from Milngavie just outside Glasgow, to Fort William in the Scottish Highlands (all sorts of terrain, two hills, rain, & not to mention wild goats) to raise funds and awareness for Brightest Star.
Brightest Star is a local charity, set up in memory of the very gorgeous Jack Kennedy 2006-2012, that help bereaved families after the loss of a child. They do really AMAZING things to help others, inc support groups, paediatric first aid courses, memory boxes for hospitals, teddy bears for mortuaries & are aiming to open a bereavement centre. My lovely Mum is walking with me(a rather different activity from our prosecco lunches) & is raising money for Marie Curie Glasgow who done an awesome job of looking after my Gran and us too in her last days. These are two charities that we love to support & the great news is that my Mum's work have agreed to DOUBLE whatever both of us raise for BOTH charities. So go on - show us your support!!! P.s.The training has not been easy! Blister central!
