My name is Lauren Payne and I recently graduated from Chelsea College of Art and Design studying Textiles. In 2008 I ran the London Marathon for Bliss premature babies and this year I plan to take on the gruelling three peak challenge for the NACC. The National Association for Colitis and Crohn's Disease.

 The challenge will begin next Friday on August 7th. My team members will include; Mark Hastings, Danielle Lesueur, Matt Taylor, Martyn Jordan, Paul Randall, Mano Reddy, Ozlem Toros and Peter Habershon. All of whom are my collegues and friends from John Lewis Watford where I have worked since 2005.

 Crohn's disease and Ulcerative Colitis are forms of Inflammatory Bowel disease, and they affect about 1 in 400 people.  A close member of my family  is a sufferer of this illness and so I understand how debilitating it can be.

 The charity NACC provides information and support for sufferers and their families, with  personal grants, and links with medical care.  It also invests 3000,000 a year into social medical and psycological research.
