HELLO FOLKS!!!!  I AM AT IT AGAIN!!!!

This Sunday, at 10:53 am, I will take off with about 10,000 other people through the streets of Edinburgh for the Bupa Great Edinburgh 10K Run 2010.  The run is being covered by the BBC so you can go on their website or watch it on TV on Sunday and you might see a photo or video of me!  All funds raised from sponsorship and entry fees will go to the amazing organization Alzheimer's Scotland.  After running the Chest, Heart, and Stroke Scotland 5K run back in March, I was addicted.  It is an incredible feeling to complete a run like that and know that the funds you have raised just for doing something fun will have an incredible impact on someone's life.  Thank you so much to my mom, dad, and Uncle Joan and Aunt Bill for donating on JustGiving.com when I did that run!

Now, this is a cause near and dear to my heart and the rest of my family... as when I was a teenager my grandmother, Jean Nadler, passed away from Alzheimer's disease.  Luckily, my family was able to get her the care that she needed in her final years but, unfortunately, thousands of people aren't so lucky.  That is where Alzheimer's Scotland comes in....They provide carers, advice, support groups, and more for individuals and families dealing with Alzheimer's and dementia.  For the same amount as one of those crazy double foam espresso chocolate swirl fancy schmancy Starbucks coffees that we are all addicted to (including myself of course), a person could be provided with a carer for one hour giving, say, a very tired and overworked husband a chance to get out and get some fresh air, get a break.  So give up your fancy coffee for a day and go for the normal filtered one!  : )  Even 3 pounds ($5) makes a big difference....AND IF NOTHING ELSE YOU CAN GET A LOOK AT MY PHOTOS ON MY PROFILE FROM MY LAST RUN AND MAKE FUN OF ME FOREVER FOR MY REALLY CHEESY SPANDEX!!!!!
