Story
On Sunday 20 May 2012 I will be running in the Great Manchester Run 2012 (10k) for Help for Heroes.
Help for Heroes helps wounded soldiers returning from Afghanistan and Iraq. The message of the charity is simple: they believe that anyone who volunteers to serve in time of war, knowing that they may risk all, is a hero. These are ordinary people doing extraordinary things and some of them are living with the consequences of their service for life. We may not be able to prevent our soldiers from being wounded, but together we can help them get better.
I will be aiming to be beat last year's time of 52 minutes and 8 seconds and I am determined to cross the finish line in under 50 minutes!! I would be really grateful for any donations (no matter how small!) which will all go towards supporting this amazing charity.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now. Thanks in advance :)
