I am so happy to say I will be running the London Marathon in 2021 -raising money for Action On Hearing Loss.

Hearing Loss is something that affects over 11 million people in the UK alone. When I was growing up, to my friends and I, hearing loss was something that only really happens to 'elder' people. It isn't.

As some of you may know I have suffered with problems with my ears for many years with APD (Auditory Processing Disorder) and after a traumatic experience in 2017 we believe it was the stress that actually caused me to lose half of my hearing in my left ear. I had to have my first aid fitted in January 2018.

The reason I have chosen Action On Hearing Loss as my charity, is that they have not only helped me, but also helped some of my friends and family come to terms and understand what can be done day to day just to be able to carry on as normal as possible. They are actively looking for a cure and getting the best equipment to help people live a normal life. 

Action For Hearing Loss have been a massive support to me through my journey so far. Knowing that they are there to support me or even my friends and family throughout my battle and helping me improve day to day living is a massive help.
