Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. My mum and I are walking/ running (respectively) for CF, because we know a special and amazing lady, who has inspired us us. She has CF, and is currently waiting for a lung transplant due to CF's severe damage to her lungs - she actually did this event in 2006...
SHE IS OUR INSPIRATION
As you can see from our photos, we're slightly crazy and incredibly unfit, so this is a huge challenge for us - please support us, because....
Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is the ’s most common, life-threatening inherited disease. It affects over 7,500 people in the and 1 person in 25 carries the faulty gene. Cystic Fibrosis affects the internal organs, especially the lungs and gut, by clogging them with thick, sticky mucus that attracts infection, makes it hard to breathe and to digest food. Average life expectancy is just 31, although improvements in treatments mean a baby born today could expect to live longer. Please please please support us - it's only 2 weeks away and we really appreciate your support.
