Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my page.
As many people know, I have a dog (Cavapoo) who goes by the name of Dudley. We think he may be human and is treated like a child by the family! I feel all pets should be treated the way that Dudley is. And that's why I decided to run the Bath Half for the Bath Cats and Dogs Home.
I am new to running, and this is probably a surprise to many people I know! I have never exactly been into fitness and hated P.E at school. I had my arm twisted into signing up by Amy at work, who is also a novice but far more motivated than I am! We just hope that we do the charity proud.
They urgently need and are grateful for your support and to generate awareness of the work they do in order to raise the £1.4m they need each year just to keep the doors open.
They took in over 1,500 animals last year alone and managed to reunite 212 strays with their owners, and find loving, forever homes for 1,170.
But the numbers are still rising and the need for them to be able to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home the animals brought in to care is increasing too.
