I am joining a 40 strong team from Greene King who will be cycling from London to Paris in July 2017. We will be cycling all day for 4 days, covering around 300miles. I am really excited to take on what is going to be the biggest challenge I have ever done, in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support. This charity is very close to my heart because they helped my Grandad in so many ways when he needed it most. I have decided to challenge myself and raise money in this way as I would love to give something back, and make my grandad proud.

Greene King have, to date, raised over £2million for MacMillan, and 100% of the money raised goes straight to the charity. I have set myself a target of raising at least £1600 for MacMillan and will organise events, design art work, hold sales, and do some really silly things including a 3-legged 5k race with my partner to raise loads of money!

Macmillan Cancer Support depends hugely on charitable fundraising and the support of the public and volunteers to be able to do their work.

£25 could pay for a Macmillan nurse for an hour, helping people living
with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and
emotional support.

£50 could pay for a Macmillan Grant that buys someone with cancer a microwave, making it easier for them to prepare their food.

Last year, MacMillan spent £56.0million on Healthcare, £30.9million on healthcare and support, £26.9million on financial support, £16.5million on Practical and Emotional support and further millions on learning and development.
