I recently found out that I have been lucky enough to be chosen to work as a volunteer through the ICS scheme. 

 

International Citizen Service (ICS) is an opportunity for volunteers to help some of the poorest people in the world and learn some valuable new skills at the same time. Funded by the Department for International Development (DFID) and run by some of the most respected names in international volunteering, it will be the UK’s foremost global volunteering programme for young people.

 

It’s a programme that brings young people from different countries together to fight poverty. 

 

I'm heading to Nicaragua with Raleigh International (a youth and sustainable development charity) in September but first I need to raise £800.

 

I plan to organise several little fundraising events to help reach this target and would really appreciate any donations!!
