Thames Path Challenge 2018 · 8 September 2018 to 9 September 2018 ·

When an adult or child has been diagnosed with a complex or incurable condition, Havens Hospices can provide the care they need, ‘Making every day count’. Our specialist Care Teams can support them in the comfort of their own home and through our hospices, Fair Havens and Little Havens.

Story

I will be walking 50k of The Thames Path Challenge in memory of my uncle Trevor who passed away whilst being cared for at Fair Havens.

Trevor was diagnosed with cancer on 13th December 2016, after a routine check up. Unfortunately the cancer was too advanced for treatment and he sadly, but peacefully passed away 6 months later on 24th June this year. He was only 53 years old.

Fair Havens Hospice cared for Trevor, and his loved ones with such dignity and respect and ensured he passed peacefully.

Nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff who are all truely special people. My family and I want to ensure they get all the support possible so they can carry on giving the highest quality care to all.
