When Allegra was 6 months old, I was diagnosed with uveal melanoma - a 6 in a million cancer of the eye.  The Liverpool Ocular Oncology Research Group helped in my treatment and prognostication - their past research saved my eye; their current research is trying to help understand metastatic spread which remains incurable.  To raise money for their research,  I am joining them on a walk organised by a team from Unilever who lost a dear colleague to this exceptionally rare and underfunded condition.
