Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit this page and join us on this journey!

We wanted to do this epic challenge to try and make a powerful impact by raising awareness of ME, which stands for Myalgic Encephalomyelitis.

A friend of ours wasn't her usual full-of-life self with her health progressively getting worse. When she finally got the diagnosis, we and many other friends had never heard of ME.

The ME Association raises awareness and funds for crucial research into the disease whilst supporting those affected. Being a complex and poorly understood condition with no clear cure, the work of this charity is invaluable to those suffering and their families.

We won’t be taking bets on who will struggle the most, as we all know who that will be…

Anyone wanting to join us on the journey for a ride, a meal or a drink, our rough itinerary is below. Call/message us if you want to join!

Thanks so much for all your support. We'll keep you posted on our training and our progress on the trip.

Last thing - we will also be raising a personal fund to directly support the family affected. Message us directly if you would like to donate to this fund.

Thanks again!

The ME Association campaigns hard to get ME recognised as a severe neurological illness. Our helpline provides essential information and support to adults and children who have ME/CFS, and to their families and carers. We also fund biomedical research into the physical nature and causes of ME/CFS.
