Story

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page! Throughout 2010 I plan to complete a number of running races around the UK (see below) and am hoping some of you will be willing to dig deep and sponsor me! :)  I have already run the Great Winter Run, which was in a very snowy Holyrood Park in Edinburgh (see photos!) and am in training for the Great Ireland 10k Run in Dublin in April - which Dave has kindly agreed to run with me (see photo after our first training run!) I have also entered the Wombourne Sprint Triathlon in April (with Mum and Dad!). Further races will be added as entries open....

Latest info as of 28/04/2010...unfortunately I couldn't make the dublin race as my flights to dublin were cancelled due to the ash, but I did complete my first triathlon last weekend ! The Alzheimers Society is the nominated charity for the BUPA Great Run series 2010. Alzheimer's is the most common form of dementia. There are currently 700,000 people with dementia in the UK. It is predicted that this will rise to 1 million by 2025. Careful planning for the future is needed now to ensure that the right care and support is and will continue to be available.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now! Thanks for all your support, Laura xxx
