A brief introduction: My name is Laura Jayne Schofield and I live in Northwich in the Shire.

I love lists; sleep; crochet; green; crisps; France; eyes; music and frolicking. I do not care for peas......

In a moment of madness (that I still can’t quite understand) I agreed that on October 8th 2010 I would endeavour to walk the full length of Hadrian’s Wall.

That's right the full length, eighty six miles of wall and grass and some history apparently? It’s okay though because I love walking - although this is mostly due to the fact that I can’t drive so I am forced somewhat to love it. Anyway, deciding not to get ahead of myself I’ll be allowing 5 days to walk the wall, complete with backpack and tent and one of those walking stick thingy's to ward off any sheep/ cows/ humans that get too close. 

I decided that this challenge wouldn’t be worth half as much without some incentive to get me to the end (crisps just aren't going to cut it). It didn't really take me long to decide that I was going to raise the money for Alder Hey Imagine Appeal. The Imagine Appeal is such a fantastic cause and I really want to raise as much money as possible to help maintain the quality of care and comfort that is provided for the children that attend there everyday. I have witnessed it first hand and it's so worth every penny that can be raised.

So that’s it! This is the challenge! Thank you for taking the time to read this little ramble, I would simply love all the help that is out there in whatever form (within reason) whether it be raising money, awareness or actually coming with me as I attempt to conquer Hadrian and his Wall!!
