A truly amazing place. Severn Hospice gave my mom dignity and care in her final weeks. It was a place where we could just concentrate on having quality time, at a period when time was short and so very very precious. I will never forget the nurses, doctors, social workers, care assistants and volunteers for who nothing was too much trouble and no amount of tears were too many. Nowhere else is there a place where they have however much time you need, how many times you need to ask the same question, how long you need someone to hold your hand for.

 

I felt safe in the knowledge my mom was being cared for in the best possible way and had her physical, emotional and spiritual needs were all fully met. Most importantly my mom felt safe and was, at the end of her life, where she wanted to be. The hopsice gave my mom a quality to the end of her life that only they could.

My lovely mom died peacefully in the Severn Hospice, Telford on 28th May 2009. Because of the care and compassion shown by the hospice I was able to spend that day just being with her, holding her hand, talking to her, just being there. The hospice took care of everything else for me and her and for that, from the bottom of my heart I thank them. In horrible circumstances I have good memories.

No charge ever made for all this but a great debt owed by us for their love and care. I thank you so much for your help, you are making a huge difference to people's lives, trust me.
