On Saturday 3rd September 2016 a group of us from Life Leisure, will be embarking on our greatest ever physical challenge - The Rat Race Man vs Mountain Challenge. Man vs Mountain is a 22-mile Endurance Race described as "Brutal but Beautiful". This legendary mountain adventure race starts at sea level in the stunning Caernarfon Castle and weaves its way to the summit of Snowdon and down the other side into Dinorwic Quarry where we will take on an array of punishing obstacles, including the infamous Vertical Kilometre.

This event will take us all out of our comfort zones, and we have trained hard for months to get in shape for the this challenge. A lot of time and dedication has gone into preparing for the event so we hope you can help me to support a great cause by donating.

We are taking part in the challenge to raise both money and awareness of Mental Health. MIND is a large Mental Health Charity based in the UK that does a lot of good work to support people with mental health issues.

Mental Health is something that affects many people all over the world. The topic itself is quite broad and ranges from depression to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. It is something that can affect anyone at some stage in their life, whether it be yourself or someone close to you. By raising awareness we hope that more people will take some time to look into the issues around Mental Health and also what you can do to identify it, as well as supporting people.
