Story
I may be certifiable choosing to run this marathon... That said, challenges are good.
When I first looked into running the marathon, it was going to be for purely selfish reasons: lose the baby belly and its something I've always wanted to do. However, when I saw there were places running for the Highland Hospice the decision to enter it almost felt made for me.
The Hospice is a special place, doing a huge amount of good work for many patients and families. It costs £42,000 a week to run the place - not all of this funded by the NHS. The care our family received was first class, we could not have asked for more.
Mum was a lot of things to many people. She inspired in me a "can do" attitude, so even if it takes me 10 hours, I will complete this marathon.
Thanks for your donation.
