Bath Half Marathon 2011 · 6 March 2011

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

As most of you will know, I'm a regular runner, but not massively confident on long distance running, so I've set myself a big challenge! I have always wanted to complete a half marathon, and Bath is one of my favourite places, so what better one to start with!

To add importance and further incentive to my run, I have chosen to raise money for the hugely important charity, The Alzheimer's Society. I chose this charity as I work at the Devon Partnership Mental Health Trust, spending a lot of my time developing services for older people with Dementia. Through both my work, and personal experience with a family member, I have first hand seen the importance of the Alzheimer's Society and in how they are 'leading the fight against Dementia'.

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and for donating to such a worthwhile cause.
