Story
Well I'm not sure where to start. But I've been working for Epilepsy Society (on and off) since 1999 & suffice to say I wouldn't still be here if it wasn't a charity that's become very close to my heart. Epilepsy is a very much misunderstood condition and it gets very little public recognition. We are all touched by devastating stories of cancer, poverty, children and animals suffering, but few people realise the devastating impact that a diagnosis of epilepsy can have. 1 in 20 people will have a seizure at some point in their life. Imagine the stress of suddenly not being able to drive; being afraid to leave the house with your child in case you had a seizure & they were left vulnerable for a few minutes; the fear of having a seizure at work in case you were seen in a different light among your colleagues; not being able to go out for a boozy night of dancing with friends because you know it'll have an effect on your epilepsy... I may not have the condition myself, but every day I witness the enormous impact it can have. The charity I work for leads the world in research to try and treat, prevent and ultimate cure epilepsy. If you could spare a few pounds to help them and to also enjoy watching me scream in terror as I hurtle towards the ground, I'd really appreciate your support. Thanks all xx
