We have chosen Winston’s Wish as it is a cause that Laura, one of our team members, holds close to her heart. In April 2013, aged just 1 year old, Laura’s daughter Niamh lost her daddy – changing her life forever. Over the past few years, Winston’s Wish have supported Laura and Niamh on their journey. There has always been someone available at the end of the phone and, most recently, they have received one-to-one support. As is the case with many bereaved children, as she is getting older Niamh has many more questions. As a result, Niamh will benefit from one-to-one and group support from Winston’s Wish, starting this summer, which will enable her to start school with confidence. In light of this, Laura and a team of friends are fundraising through doing a Triathlon can help raise money for this amazing charity and the support they offer bereaved children.
