Story
On 26 May 2013 I will be running the Edinburgh Marathon for the Dogs Trust.
As many of you might know I have a rescue dog and whilst there are a huge number of very worthy charities that need your support, the dogs are completely at the mercy of peoples' kindness. Living in kennels is a stressful experience for dogs, particularly when they have been mistreated or have moved between a number of homes, and the importance of the care and attention they receive at Dogs Trust can't be underestimated. Even a few pounds can make a huge amount of difference to their quality of life.
Training has been hard but has been going well so far, despite the shocking weather over the past few months and my uncanny knack for choosing runs which face directly into the wind and/or include an uphill drag of 2 - 3 miles at the end. Hopefully this will prepare me for the 'brisk' East Lothian coastal conditions.
All donations big and small will be very much appreciated by both me and the dogs. Thank you!
