Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
If you know me well enough you will know that I am not a runner but I have decided over recent months that I will do my best impression of one! I am running the Manchester 10K to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society.
This is a charity that is close to all of my family as it is something that my Gran suffered with and all of my family lived with for a number of years. I signed up to run for Alzheimer’s a while ago now but sadly before I had chance to tell my Grandad he passed away. This has given me more of an incentive to do it and raise my target amount.
As we found with Gran dementia is terminal and there is no cure. One in three people over 65 will die with dementia. Alzheimer’s Society supports people to live well with dementia today and funds research to find a cure for tomorrow.
If I can raise £50 this could help provide helpline callers with the information and support that they need to care for someone. £100 could support a person with dementia to receive two fortnightly befriending visits with a volunteer, enabling them to continue with their hobbies and interests. (Anymore than £150 will be super awsome!!)
Any sponsorship will be greatly received.
Thank you x
ps. I will keep you updated with how the running impression is going!

Happy New Year All! Well…tonight was the first visit back to the gym after the Christmas and New Years binge! It wasn’t as painful as expected however I do need to get motivated and get there a bit more often! Louise and I are thinking of doing the Halton 5mile Eater run…I think that will be good practice for the 10K…

March
I have hit the gym again to sort this running out but finding it really difficult to run. I keep getting a stitch after 10 minutes regardless of how fast I run and how much time it is since I’ve eaten. If you have any suggestions please help!
