Story
Thank you for logging into my site and supporting me in raising funds for my selected charity (Delete Blood Cancer). When I decided to do another marathon (Belfast City Marathon 2014), I always knew I would do it in aid of a children's charity, once I heard the heart breaking story of beautiful little boy Charlie Craig it touched my heart deeply and my instant reaction was that I wanted to help him and his family.
Charlie Craig is just 3 and a half years old and was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia in January 2013. Following treatment Charlie was declared in remission in June of last year. Unfortunately routine blood tests showed the return of his AML in January 2014.
Charlie now desperately needs a Bone Marrow Transplant.
However each test costs the charity £40 to run, also there are a large number of people who are ineligible to register but still want to help. With this in mind I want to raise as much as possible. All donations to this page will help test for a possible match for Charlie and others like him.
I already seen the astonishing support for Charlie when I attended the donor drive held at Holy Trinity College on 22nd March. It was a very proud moment for our community. I urge everyone to continue that support financially by giving a small donation.
