Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Saturday 6th August I am taking part in a walk across Morecambe Bay for charity.
As many of you will know from recent stories in the press the tide at Morecambe Bay is incredibly dangerous. The way the sea twists and turns in to the Bay changes each year and so do the dangers. Not only could I find myself in deep water but there is Quick Sand to contend with also! The walk itself covers about eight or nine miles in total.
I never really knew much about Cystic Fibrosis until my colleague Suzie told me about her Nephew, Oliver, who is 4 and has the disease. I was surprised to know that CF is one of the biggest life threatening inherited diseases. It affects the internal organs, especially the lungs and digestive system, by clogging them with thick sticky mucus. This makes it hard to breathe and digest food.
Only half of those living with Cystic Fibrosis are likely to live past their late 30s
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust relies on the support of the CF community and the public to continue its work in research, campaigning, support and care for those with Cystic Fibrosis. We need your help.
I would be so grateful for as many people as possible to sponsor my event for such a worthy cause - no matter how small. Thank You in advance for your generosity.
