Story
Offa's Dyke Walk
Is not for the faint-hearted, this challenge is the last 26 miles of the Offa’s Dyke path from Clwyd Gate to Prestatyn, following the Clwydian Mountains.
It follows a series of sharp climbs and falls – including the highest point of Moel Fammau at 1,818 feet – until the spectacular view from the Prestatyn Cliffs confirms that the end is in sight.
The challenge was first held in 2000 to raise funds for British Red Cross in North Wales, and now it’s back, thanks to the Red Cross and North East Wales Search and Rescue.
Team North East Wales
The North East Wales Red Cross team are walking 26 miles to raise money for The British Red Cross.
So far in the team we have Laura Clays, Ruth Stopforth, Kay Polley, Lizzie Whalley and Rebecca Ogley, but hopefully we will recruit some more people to join our team!
All members of the team will complete the 26mile walk in fancy dress (outfits TBC)
We are hoping to raise (as a team effort) £2,000!!!! So we need all the help we can get please .......
Red Cross is an amazing charity (a bit biased i know!) and in North East Wales we provide many services such as Home from Hospital, Medical Equipment Loans, Carers Emergency Card, Therapeutic Care etc etc! So please dig deep to help us raise money to support these services!
Donating ....
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
We need all the encouragement we can get .... we're not the fittest bunch of people!!! So please spare what you can
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
