Laura Carter is raising money for Little Princess Trust

The big chop · 17 October 2022

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

We have, more than likely, all been affected by cancer in one way or another. But when a child loses their hair to cancer or another condition, The Little Princess Trust is there to offer a free, real hair wig to help restore their confidence and identity. The charity also funds childhood cancer research seeking to find kinder and more effective treatments. Please visit www.littleprincesses.org.uk to find out how you can help LPT give young people back what cancer takes away. The Little Princess Trust relies solely on the efforts of enthusiastic community fundraisers. We receive no formal funding.

My fundraiser:

Some friends and family will know that I’ve donated hair to the Little Princess Trust twice before in 2017 and 2019. I hadn’t done a fundraiser and I wished I had. So here’s your chance if you wanted to donate because I’m doing it again!

It’s taken a few years to grow it back but I’m ready to do it all over again. I’ll be cutting my hair to around shoulder length which works out about 16 inches.

If you would like to support me with raising money for the Little Princess Trust, any donations are greatly appreciated. I know how important your hair can be and it’s impact on self esteem and confidence. I’ve been blessed with strong, thick hair that grows fairly quickly so I’m pleased to have the opportunity to share it and I hope it brings joy to someone who needs it. Little Princess Trust are a wonderful charity and do great work supporting children fighting cancer and their families.
