Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page

I am shaving my head as it was the only thing that I could do to try to understand just one of the many things that somebody going through cancer has to deal with.

My Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer in August, and has since had a sucessful operation, and is now having a course of chemotherapy to give the cancer as little chance as possible of coming back.

She has been very brave and strong throughout, and has dealt with every challenge that has come her way with dignity and calm.

Losing her hair was not her biggest concern when Mum was coming to terms with the long list of symptoms and side effects she could/would experience when undergoing chemotherapy, but it was the only 'symptom' that I could experience with her, so I have decided that I would attempt to empathise with her and all other people who go through the cancer and chemo journey.
