Story
Thank you for visiting our page. We are taking on a >2000 km cycling challenge through Europe starting on the 27th August on Bromptons!
This is in memory of both Matt’s niece Bella Linley-Adams who died of pneumococcal meningitis last year at 5-months old, and Lydia’s younger sister Ottie Uden, who died of a rare autoinflammatory condition called HLH at the age of 21.
We are raising money for a charity called SeeSaw, based in Oxfordshire, which offers grief support for children and young people. Our goal is to help families, and particularly siblings, who are going through the devastating loss that our families have experienced. SeeSaw provides invaluable support and advice for those in this distressing situation.
The cycling route begins at the ferry port in Saint-Malo, Brittany, and continues south through France along a large section of the EuroVelo 3 'Pilgrims Route’, past Bordeaux, across the Pyrenees, along the Camino de Santiago in Northern Spain and, hopefully, finishing along the Portuguese Camino. Although, as two somewhat lanky cyclists we are aware that we may look fairly ridiculous on folding bikes, we are so grateful to the generous team at Brompton Bicycles for sponsoring us.
As many of you know, Ottie had a love-hate relationship with cycling so would definitely appreciate the effort required here, especially on such little wheels!
