Story
Hello everyone, Myself and my brothers Jamie and Scott are organising a 24hour football match to raise money and help raise awareness for mental health.
The reason why we’re doing this is back in 2016 our mother was in and out of hospital suffering from depression and anxiety. This took a huge blow on us all, not just affecting our mother but the whole family. The following year was a very testing time and with our amazing support from friends and family we got through it in what was the hardest year off our lives.
After much support and time she is now finally as well as she has ever been, living on her own, medication free and back to her usual self and spirit.
Finally the past year, more and more awareness for mental health has become more apparent and people are starting to talk about their problems and feelings. Our aim isn’t to just raise lots of money, but for people who suffer from any kind of mental illness to understand “its ok not to be ok”, to talk about their problems and worries and hopefully not lead to where we were as a family or worse!
This event will be taking place at Bridgwater and Taunton College we would like to have a full size 11 v 11 on their brand new 3G facility during the day and during the evening/night indoor 5 v 5.
Thank you all
From the Lairds
